Dawn Filer Ciranna founded Next Chapter Books & Bookmobile to bring her two passions—literacy and community—together in one place. She believes that creating a shared space in curiosity and wonder can build authentic connections.

Dawn is a certified secondary English teacher with an 18-year career in public education at Austin ISD, Leander ISD, and The University of Texas, where she provided technical assistance and implementation support in literacy instruction, leadership, and professional development. She earned her B.A. from Texas State University in San Marcos and earned a certificate from the CoachRICE program. 

Dawn and her family of four have called Leander their home since 2016 and have always enjoyed visiting the Leander Public Library. When the local bookstore relocated to a new city, Dawn realized her dream of bringing books to more readers was possible. She founded Next Chapter Books & Bookmobile in 2022 to fulfill a niche of used books for the growing city and neighboring communities. Dawn and her family love pizza and movie nights, their two dogs, playing games, and, of course, reading!
